Holding the world debut of Ridley Scott's "Napoleon" in Paris was an easy decision for Sony's movie bunch director and Chief Tom Rothman, because of the movie's French DNA and its subject, the popular French ruler (played by Joaquin Phoenix).
"What other place might you at any point start the overall rollout of 'Napoleon' than France?," expressed Rothman on honorary pathway of the occasion at the Salle Pleyel show lobby, where Phoenix, Vanessa Kirby and Tahar Rahim had the option to go to thanks to the furthest limit of the 118-day Droop AFTRA strike.
However, the French dramatic bow accompanies a drawback for Apple, which supported the expensive film and will currently need to stand by 17 months to send off the film on its administration because of France's severe windowing rules.
